Meet Stephanie
Stephanie Mader is the founder and creative force behind Mader Designs, an award-winning interior design firm known for creating bold, luxurious, and highly personalized spaces that dare to defy definition. With over 17 years of experience, Stephanie has built a reputation for transforming homes and commercial spaces into elevated environments that balance timeless design with unexpected details.
Raised in a small town in Wisconsin, Stephanie developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship, character, and the feeling that a home should tell a story. While her work often pushes creative boundaries, she describes herself as a traditionalist at heart — believing that truly timeless design is rooted in warmth, authenticity, and the way people gather and live within a space.
Stephanie knew from a very young age that design was her calling. As a child, she was constantly rearranging her bedroom, moving furniture, styling spaces, and envisioning how rooms could feel different with just a few thoughtful changes. That early passion evolved into a lifelong creative pursuit and eventually the foundation of Mader Designs.
Based in Madison, Stephanie brings a distinctive artistic vision to every project, blending high-end materials, custom elements, and innovative design solutions with a deep understanding of how clients truly live. From large-scale luxury renovations to custom furnishings and statement interiors, her work is recognized for its sophistication, creativity, and attention to detail.
Beyond design, Stephanie is known for her strong spirit of giving back to the community. Whether supporting local artists, volunteering with organizations that serve families in need, mentoring creatives, or championing fellow small businesses, she believes meaningful design and meaningful living go hand in hand. Her passion for community connection is deeply woven into both her personal life and her business philosophy.
Stephanie’s passion for design extends beyond aesthetics — she is deeply involved in the full creative process and Project Management, from concept development and 3D visualization to installation and final styling. Her approachable personality, fearless design perspective, and commitment to client relationships have made her a top talent in the design industry.
